Why there are LAST 4 DIGITS of Credit/Debit/ATM CARD on the BACK SIDE of CARD?

Hello guys,

Today I am gonna tell you the real and accurate reason for this subject.



There is some space and last 4 digits of your card written on backside of your card because on purchasing from cards, you have to sign the receipt .Sign is matched from that yellow rectangle section, which you have to do during receiving that card.

So, for thieves or frauds, if they got your card from somewhere, they will be caught right after they try to sign on the receipt.

This sign method was usually done on the cards that doesn't have CHIP, for cards with chip, only PIN is sufficient at POS (Point of Sale).

Now new cards come with both chip and signing slip, for better alternate security.
