How To Force 2g, 3g & 4g Data On Android ( Kit Kat & Lollipop) .

Recently many of my friends asked me for forced network preference on Android i.e how one can enable 2g, 3g & 4g data connection as per requirement
Since smart phones with Kit Kat & Lollipop have option for preferred network so smart phone operates on 2g even if you select "3g preferred" under Network Settings. After lots of ups & down I came to the solution and decided to share it among the world.

Procedure:
1: Open the dial pad of your android.

2: Dial, *#*#4636#*#* you will be able to see a screen as shown below.

3: Go to "Phone Information" and scroll down till you get a drop down menu after "Set preferred network type:"

4: Select the network type you wish you to enable ending with "Only" suffix. Example:As I have selected "WCDMA Only"

5: Don't modify any other settings, it may effect your phone functionality.
6: Comment if you have any doubt.
